Oh, I can understand the Holy Crap flight response when coming up on something like this. I don't mean the normal guy that catches something by mistake but there are a lot that claim to be hunting them that come up with footage.

Now, most everyone I know that hunts anything, especially something with the capability of easily killing them, takes along a weapon capable of protecting themselves. That usually equates to a reasonable equalizer for anything they may run into. I have seen many shows where there are people that will see things, hear things and even shoot randomly into the woods where they heard something but they never pursue. I am not even calling their actions into question, just disappointed I guess. Then again I am not on board with most everyone's bigfoot hunting techniques either.

I guess I wouldn't be so critical if I wasn't so interested.

Your right, the amount of video that surfaces from "Big Foot" hunts is amazing. I would tend to want to interview Nat. Park Rangers with

years of service, veteran smoke jumpers ............. . You'd think if anyone could relate , at the very least sightings, it would be these people

that spend their lives there. Also as I have mentioned in previous forum discussions sneaking up on an indigenous "Bigfoot" would be impossible

for a myriad of different reasons. Provided of course that they actually exist. In that case we'll use the impossible word. LOL Since I am almost

certainly getting transferred to Vancouver Wash. soon I think I may have too plan a few deep, deep wood treks just to see what I can see. You

never know I may just get my first "Dude Run" event?

Kim I would imagine the fear and suprise of the unknown would limit pursuit. As for the

detail I just froze the begining frames and advanced the clip slowly. Not everyone who is hiking

has had the privelege of learning to run forward, pursue, attack, defend and apprehend as the law

enforcement professionals on here have. In some people it is a natural reaction to persue the mystery

posture. Cranium looks great ape. Pelvis with extended Cocyx would seem correct. That video is amazing Dover.

Now that one makes me want to get to Washington State tomorrow. I would love to see the entire video

file or tape in it's original form. There's alot of things on this video that are worth looking at in greater detail.

Real Bigfoot?

a noise that had startled it. The fact that quality, irrefutable evidence of their existence is scarce leads me to believe that a Sasquatch

on a worn trail would be even rarer. At the distance the hominid was from the noise I don't think it would have broken it's cover for a

getaway. Just my opinion....it could be a Sasquatch. If they had been quieter they might have gotten close enough to ask him.

The main negative thing I have about a costume is, especially in a short clip like this, is the cost. You know the cost of making up a bigfoot costume of this quality would not be cheap and for 15 seconds on Youtube? /blink.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':P' /> It's not like they have ones of this quality for rent either. I am convinced there are the hairy hominids out there in the wild but other than thousands of sightings there is not much concrete proof.

You are probably right but I don't want to rule out some hollywood prop guys with access to one, making a short video for fun, just yet.

Here is a short clip of a supposed Sasquatch in California. It is one of the better clips. If a costume it was well designed and the person underneath has a lot of size to fit it nicely. Hard to tell but more realistic than most except maybe the Harley Hoffman clip.

Pretty clear clip but as with all so far I don't have a problem with what they look like as much as content. This one was obviously close enough to get video. Why didn't they pursue? Also most that I see look like people walking , running or just strolling along. I haven't seen a modern primate walk that well and if it is a branch of Gigantopithecus I wouldn't think it would stride so easily because of its size.

Now that I let my skepticism show. I have to admit that I am intrigued by the idea of a Bigfoot and believe that it is possible for a large primate to go unnoticed. Especially in such a large area as the Northwest. Heck, only a couple years ago they found 125,000 gorillas living in a swampy area of Africa that they thought long gone.

However, unless we get one or a real good close up we will never know. I guess my main problem is that I am sure someone could make a real looking bigfoot costume. Heck this was a costume and if I saw him running through the woods I would believe it was real.
