Ryan, from what I could see, thought it was a gorilla, also.

The gait or tracking is not of a bear, from what I could see.

But, the footage is very fuzzy. What do I know.

Don't Gorillas lurch forward as they run? I'm not sure that it was a Gorilla. Not that I think it is real. I figure that if it were real, then that film would have been known about at some point, because whomever found the body, probably called the cops and then they probably took it into evidence. And why doesn't the film keep running until the film runs out? Why out in the middle of the woods, does the timestamp start from zero when the person spots the creature? Take the time to load new film and risk missing it?

never intended to be construed as real life? He is even enforcing his copyright on it

My understanding is that the original Gable film was found in the bottom of a box of some items someone bought at some type of private sale. The person who made it has not come forward to claim they shot the footage. It has been slowed down, enhanced, and analyzed to death. I am not sure what it is. Bears do exist in the area of Michigan where it was apparently filmed but they are not that common and wild bears would normally run away and would not likely be that aggressive unless guarding their young. The shoulders look way too massive to be any type of dog. I'm am not sold on it being some type of werewolf or dogman, I'm not talking about any human changing to an animal by any means, but some type of upright sometimes bipedal anomaly.

The second film supposed takes up where the first one ends, for those who have not seen it. It depicts police finding a half eaten human body that was supposedly mauled by a bear and does appear from the same era on similar type of 8mm film. I have made some observations that lead me to believe it is a hoax that I could elaborate more if I could look at the film thoroughly again. I read where someone checked records and there is not any reports of anyone being killed by a bear anywhere near this area of Michigan during the late 60's early 70's much less someone with the last name Gable.

I've never seen a bear have all fours off the ground running fast like that, but then again we don't have many bears where I'm from either.

I thought that the guy that originally published this said that he thinks that its a hoax because at one point you can see a human leg. But I will say that it makes me uneasy just thinking about an animal that big that can move that fast. The teeth when I think he turns back around is a nice touch. The time stamp down to the second without a date does make me wonder though.

Could only watch a segmented pixilated version of the film so far.

Work computer constraints don't allow UTUBE access. I will have a run at it

in the morning from home though. What I saw in the beginning appeared to move

similiar to a great ape but then took on a bears lumber when it passed the tree.

I can't wait to see the clear original version of this.

Just wondering what some of your opinions are on this "new" footage of what appears to be a continuation of the original footage? I have my doubts on the validity and can elaborate but would like to see what others think. /unsure.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':blink:' />
