The first picture looks photoshopped to me. But that video was interesting. When I was in KY for college I could see this happening. Theres plenty of space for them to hide, even with the houses in the woods like we were. I think the area needs further looking into.

I thought the audio clip was compelling. Especially the fact the dogs reacted the way they did. Most big farm dogs would run after any animal anywhere near their turf but these dogs stayed on the porch and didn't try to pursue whatever was making that noise. This area is not from from where I live and he has reports from people in the area of some strange things going on for sure.

Saw this on the local news tonight. Mr Mahoney was having trouble with something messing with his garden and set up a field camera and caught this image. This is just 10 minutes from metro Louisville but there is some forest area near by. Only bears in Kentucky are in zoos or the hills of eastern Kentucky.

This area has some strange things happening there. It includes howling from a possible bigfoot. This is just one area in just Kentucky where people have spotted a large unknown hominid. Just about every state has had reports on unknown creatures that appear to resemble what a bigfoot is reputed to look like. That why I wish the TV shows would report on something besides the Patterson-Gimlin film.

Okay, I watched the video yesterday and should re-watch before making this statement...

Didn't he say the object in question was about 55 yards away? 165 feet. What is the range of those game cameras? The object would never be in focus at that distance. And it is activated by motion...motion in what proximity?

Regan, or someone who uses these things, please let me know some particulars about aperture and range of the cameras you use duriing investigation.

I'm with pooperdooper on the fact that the delineation from object to top of grass looks a little off. Like something sitting ON the brush rather than IN the brush.

And for the record, the thing looks like a bean bag chair to me.

I did a little research and I found the max range on the ones I looked at to be just about 165 feet. Coincidence? I have seen where these cameras can take more than one photo of the same animal too. There was some photos shown on the news not too long ago that showed several shots of what they claimed was a bigfoot.

I also found it odd that he showed tracks of other animals but none of this creature or that he couldn't explain. I would think this thing would have left some trace evidence too. There is a lot that can be picked apart about the photo. This is also a perfect reason for my idea of static high speed still cameras.(soon as I can afford one)

Someone also said the guy didn't have motive. Noteriety is a great motive. Not that the guy on the news faked the shot but I think if it isn't a chimp then he probably is the butt of a prank.

It is definitely something other than a bag. I have read and seen documentaries where certain areas have had problems with people letting their Chimpanzees go in Florida and other places with warm climates.

These have been sighted by many people and account for sightings like the swamp ape in Florida, etc. You don’t hear much about this because Chimp sightings aren’t as exciting as Bigfoot but I would think a Chimp could make it to Kentucky if there were enough food and water around.

This photo, although blurry, looks like a chimp’s arms and the head doesn’t seem right for a bear. Did it say on the news why he set up a hunting camera on his own yard facing that particular way? Was he having problems and looking for something specific? Interesting photo regardless of what it is.

I think it is much too large to be a chimp and is way too cold for them also. Something was causing problems with his garden not producing and he was trying to see if he could catch the culprit. These cameras I believe can be set on timed intervals or some are motion sensitive. These are just regular people and don't have any agenda to promote. The picture quality on this model, apparently an older one, it to poor to see any definite features but sure looks like the back of a large hominid in waist deep weeds to me but can't be certain because they aren't suppose to exist or do they?

Don't think anyone is being decietful just mistaken. He straightens up the weed to make it look taller than it does in the photo. One other question I would have for anyone who owns one of these cameras. I have seen other photos with these type cameras and thought they always took more than one photo? Can anyone explain how they work?

It almost appears as if the object is seated Indian style and or floating above the grass. I

would also like to see a better analysis of this photo, as well. Perhaps another photo from

the same vantage point with a scale marker positioned near the objects supposed location

for comparison. Just as an afterthought ,couldn't a Black Bird slowing for a landing with it's

wings in a downstroke cause this same image? Maybe not furry but feathery?

It has shoulders, like a human.

It sort of looks as if it's sitting or squatting.

Edit, I forgot to add, the photo fuzzy still looks very compelling.

I didn't think garbage bag, at all.

A bear to me seems ruled out.

Could be the real deal. Hope they follow through with getting the photo checked.
