Cool! Yeah, I definitely think there's plenty of material there for a whole article. Hey, I have a neat story which involves them: I was working in a daycare downtown, (which sits above part of the tunnel system), and we had an enclosed playground for the kids there. The playground had a a security door with a doorbell, and there was a light attached to it that would flash for a few seconds whenever someone rang it. One day, I was on the playground with a coworker and we started talking about the Shanghai tunnels. At some point, I said, "Do you think they're actually haunted?" And at that moment, the doorbell started going off and the light started flashing like crazy. We just thought it was some other co-worker fooling around or being impatient and laying on the bell, but when we opened the door there was no one there, (and it opened into a big, empty parking lot with nowhere to hide.) It never happened again after that in the entire time I worked there, (which was for years.) Don't know if it was paranormal, but it definitely made my day, (and scared the crap out of my friend)… /biggrin.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':D' />
