Yes, the theatre is a great location. As for the EVP, it was left blank because we heard words, we just couldn't say for sure what the words were saying. Instead of reporting a guess, I thought it best to leave the blanks.

I see, best to leave it out if you're unsure. Good to know that they are maintaining and restoring this building, I'm looking forward to visiting the Orpheum (I will check out the fire curtain for sure).

She heard her first EVP after the data was analyzed which was really impressive. In the article, she quoted what the EVP said and I was wondering if she left two of the words blank in the article because they were cuss words or because they were unintelligible. Anyone know? Anyhoo, I only live about 2 hours from this place and because of the article I think I'll plan a trip to see a show soon. They are playing Princess Bride (only $5 to get in!). I just love old buildings where they have restored and maintained beautiful architecture. Thanks for sharing your experience at the Orpheum Michelle!

Did you listen to the podcast with Loyd? He is really smart, funny and has a very refreshing and interesting perspective on the paranormal. He didn't even laugh at me when I asked him about "light as a feather stiff as a board" that game we used to play as kids. And that was a dumb question!

Thanks for the great feedback, Jon. I had a lot more fun writing about building it than I did trying to find enough pieces and parts to put it all together. If you need any information on adding extra goodies please feel free to message me or just post it in the forums. The instructions with the SpeakJet kit are actually very good, as far as building the basic board, but they don't cover any design modifications to add the features that most investigators will want.

As for the "gravity meter", I'm assuming that you mean the Tennessee Spirit Mike. After a little more research, I'm not entirely convinced that what it will pick up is purely gravity. Scalar antennas are designed to self-cancel normal electromagnetic energy (like radio waves), leaving only the fluctuations in the underlying scalar field. The theory (as it exists) is very controversial (but hey, so is the paranormal), and it basically states that there is an hyperspace field that ties electromagnetism and gravity together, with the only real difference being the direction the wave travels relative to the particle it relates to. The scalar field is what gives us magnetism and gravity, with the frequency of these waves being far above even cosmic rays.

Supposedly these waves had been discovered (but overlooked) by James Maxwell back in the 1800s, only to be rediscovered and actually utilized by Nicola Tesla around the turn of the century (during his big feud with Edison). If you've seen the movie "The Prestige", Tesla's scalar field research is what made beaming electricity, teleportation, and duplication possible. Rumor has it that Tesla destroyed his records, fearing the weapons implications of this research, and lived out the remainder of his days in relative isolation.

The more I read about scalar field theory, the more intrigued I get about it, because it may finally give us a scientific underpinning for how ghosts can exist. I'll probably do a column on it as soon as Karen lets me slide on the yard work.

	   Jybian,

Thanks once again. I will try to find " The Prestige" today on I tunes. Also rotsa ruck getting outta the yard work.

Hint: Roundup makes a great line of chemicals for that whole pesky yard work issue. Water will keep the dirt down but erosion will

become an issue. I'll be looking forward to your article Scalar fields and alternate parallels overlapping.
