I was so hoping that the Island on Lost was Atlantis.

Some of those locales do seem a little unrealistic given the time in history we're talking about and the technology of transportation for the period in question. Even though it's said that Plato's source information was believed to be the Egyptians, who while being a very powerful and far reaching empire....there were limitations. For me Florida, Antartica, South Pacific and NZ seem HIGHLY unlikely. The Scandanavian nations, China and India seem to be a bit of a stretch BUT not as far flung as those first ones.

Well that's just it ... People don't stop to think about it...

But as has been proven more times then not - People will believe the fantasy over the facts ... The lies over the truth .....

But when you stop to think where some of this was gotten - "Channeled through an ancient Altantian" .... "ESP" .... "Was an Atlantian in a prior life..." to .... well ......... I guess if one is going to believe them, fine - but don't expect the rest of the population to 'go along' or 'respect' this as a "Real possibility" ...

This was in the news again tonight - on one of the local channels. I liked that they quoted the Dr. from the Natgeo special - that Plato was/is the "Gold Standard" for anything and everything Atlantis related.

I just found it funny that the so called self proclaimed "experts" had it in Norway - Sweden, India, China, off the coast of Florida, Antartica, South Pacific, Greenland, New Zeland ... but most of these (not all) came from "Channeled" and "past life readings"... If they are not in sync with Plato .. then they are fantasies based on well ... fantasies. Plato is indeed the "gold standard".

As for digging... yes, especially since, one source has it inside a "Park" - "Nature Preserve". So there will be a whole lot of paper work to see if it's even going to be possible. Where would we be without paper work???? LOL .... But the Spain Sight is the best argument I've yet to see and makes a whole lot of sense. It 'works', awhole lot better then Antartica, Norway - Sweden and Florida, et all.

Did anyone watch that Nat Geo channel special "Finding Atlantis"??? What did you think? I was fascinated w/the evidence they found in the tribute cities. I'm no scientist but I think they're going to have a tough digging in those marshes because of the high water table just a few meters down.

That's so true KK. Where did Cayce believe it to be? I thought the show was really cool but was kind of meh about the Troy interlude, seemed like a time waster for me.

Another problem with the Atlantis in Spain theory:

Cayce revealed that the size of Atlantis was equal to that of Europe, including Asia in Europe. Plato, the original documenter of the Atlantis story from the Egyptians, also said that Atlantis was the size of Europe.

It's very possible that the size and location were mistranslated, but I'm still skeptical of an area in Spain being Atlantis. Of course, I've been wrong before. But Edgar Cayce was right about so many, many things that I will give him the benefit of the doubt until he is proven wrong.

Good article Bronzino. I don't think the Tsunami theory is new but adding creedence to it with

sediment deposits. Thiswould help pin point Atlantis. The path of a Tsunami created by the eruption

would in all likelyhood be easy to trace and make estimating the location of Atlantis easier. One can only

dream that this is, or was, the gist of their research.
