He transitioned into the broadcast booth and for a very long time was Pat Summerall&#39;s broadcast partner (Brookie did color, Pat of course play by play) and was finally replaced by John Madden.  He had been battling cancer and passed Saturday night.  He was a bit of a legend in Philly sports and the community as well, he will be missed.  He was 78.
