Soul legend and Philadelphia native Teddy Pendergrass lost his battle w/colon cancer Wed at the Age of 59. His career was on the fast track until derailed in 1982 by a car accident that left him paralyzed from the waist down…it probably also didn't help his career that the passenger in the car accident was a transgendered prostitute and he his niche market was sultry ladies man. Talented individual nonetheless and he will live on through his incredible music! May he at last be at peace!

sad to hear, what a great voice he had.

I sing this tune to the wife as an attempt to be sexy.

I was bummed when I heard this. He was big part of TSOP.

Went to the Latin Casino in cherry Hill, to see him with the Bluenotes.

His voice made me swoon.

Wasn't it called the triangle? What da heck was the third building, I can't remember?

We would go clubbing at Emerald City.

Burn baby burn, Disco Inferno.

I remember The Tramps playing there.

Not sure, but do you also happen to remember The Hawaiian Cottage?
