OfflineSoul legend and Philadelphia native Teddy Pendergrass lost his battle w/colon cancer Wed at the Age of 59. His career was on the fast track until derailed in 1982 by a car accident that left him paralyzed from the waist down…it probably also didn't help his career that the passenger in the car accident was a transgendered prostitute and he his niche market was sultry ladies man. Talented individual nonetheless and he will live on through his incredible music! May he at last be at peace!

I was bummed when I heard this. He was big part of TSOP.
Went to the Latin Casino in cherry Hill, to see him with the Bluenotes.
His voice made me swoon.
