It seems that Sherman Helmsely died suddenly in his home in Texas. Best known for his portrayal of George Jefferson on "The Jeffersons". The Jeffersons were so popular on All In the Family, that they were spun off into their own wildly successful long running series. In fact Lenny Kravitz is Roxie Roker's (aka Helen Willis from the Jeffersons) son. After the Jeffersons, Helmsley was in another sit com called Amen on NBC.
