He'd state in interviews that he often considered jumping off the balconies of his hotel rooms. He once showed an interviewer a pistol, said it was loaded, and said he often considered ending his life. He was a recovering alcoholic and drug addict, and could be very violent. He also admitted to having a voracious sexual appetite. It may have been a sex act gone wrong, or he may have chosen this as a way to end it all.
