OfflineKerry wasn't famous, so its doubtful you knew her, she was the daughter of a friend. Kerry was just a nice girl, a college graduate, she was a babysitter for our son when he was younger. Sunday night Kerry and some friends were having dinner together when suddenly Kerry fell over, she wasn't breathing. One of her friends called 911 while another went to get a doctor that lived a couple of doors away. The doctor that was retrieved went to work right away attempting to keep her alive, her heart had stopped. The ambulance came and had her at a state of the art hospital, all within about 20 to 25 minutes.
Today at about 4 PM my friend and his wife had Kerry removed from life support. I can't imagine the pain and suffering they are going through. Loosing a child is a horrible heart wrenching ordeal that I hope to never experience, having to make the decision to terminate a child's life is beyond my comprehension.
Kerry had been kept on life support while her condition was evaluated. Chance of a normal life once she came out of the coma was given as 4%. The doctors have been unable to give an explanation as to what might have caused this tragic event.
