Ohhhhh….bummer. Great author. Still 91 – long life – and he left his mark.

I've never read it either.

Nick did and after reading it he told me

he was going to name his son Holden.

his step-cousin beat him to the punch,

so now Nick wont use it.

i remember reading it and saying 'WOW' in my head. i was about 11 i guess. salinger spent most of the rest of his life trying to avoid journalists, fans etc. i think of harper lee who has done the same. i find that behaviour interesting when compared to those who so desperately seek stardom.

He was really reclusive throughout his years, even moreso after writing the last known book. I enjoy his writings, I enjoy the thought flow.

One of the reports I read sort of alluded to the fact that he may have a bunch of unpublished stuff at his place…guess it's wait and see for fans of his work.
