Y'know it's strange, I do enjoy BB King BUT I DO NOT like his live stuff. I LOOOVE live music, but I DON'T like it when a pep rally breaks out and the performer has to exhort the audience to get interactive. My feeling is if you're doing your job right as a performer the crowd will react...(Listening to LIttle Walter-Dead Presidents). That having been said, I do enjoy the BB King interview segments (I think it's called BB & Me with Bill Wax) great insights into a by gone era and also a look at other blues performers. When I was in Chicago years ago I went to Buddy Guy's Legends Lounge and Shemeaka Copeland was playing there live...fantastic evening, interesting club. We should compare notes privately or set up a thread for this....which do you think?

I've been on a real blues kick lately, I've got all of Bonnamasso's releases (except his latest which comes out next week), all of Walter Trout's and am now working my way through a bunch of live Johnny Winters. Any favorites to recommend? I also like Tinsley Ellis, the Scissormen among others. Not sure that I have a real preference, just depends on my mood.

You've already mentioned my favorite....Joe Bonamasso......who is a kick *ss guitarist. Some of my other favorites are....without saying...Stevie Ray & Jimmie Vaughan, Eric Clapton, BB King, Robin Trower, Smokin' Joe Kubek, Taj Mahal...but I also love the sounds of Elmore James, Robert Johnson, Little Milton.......I could go on and on and on....
