Sadly not a peep.

The abrupt demise of the site preceded by a comment Skizm wrote in one of the threads there that he had taken an "unplanned (unexpected ?) vacation" has me concerned. That could mean almost anything, but the wording didn't sound very positive. I hope all is well w/him!

As far as posting this inquiry here, I don't think it's disrespectful in any way, at least I don't think that's your intention. I feel there's general concern on your part and the rest of us who enjoyed that site and view it's absence as the loss that it truly is.

I don't know what happened? But, we should have been warned ahead of time. It was a fun place to be. Oh, well! That's life! /sad.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':)' />

Something may have suddenly happened and he didn't have time to really notify anyone.

It's seems unfair to the people who post there, but if he had left the bboard open, that would have been very, very unfair to the mods. I was a mod on a bboard not very long ago, where the admins suddenly disappeared with no warning whatsoever, and never came back. I and one other person had access to the most controls, and they weren't many. None of us wanted to be in a bad situation without the ability to really shut it down, so the mods voted, hands down, to close down the bboard, until the admins returned.

Zen has spoken to Skiz. Apparently, Skiz is very busy. He has no plans to re-open Ghost Dose.

Sorry.

Well, that is a shame. There were a lot of good discussions and a lot of good writing that I enjoyed there. Please pass along a message that the Dose will be missed by almosthunted.

Zen posted this earlier today on TIPS. Thought I'd swing by and update you guys. I know many of you were fond of the place. Zen, BTW, was a mod there.

I've recently experienced a flurry of questions regarding another paranormal forum, "Ghost Dose".

Ghost Dose is gone. There are no plans to reconstitute it although if you wish to purchase it then feel free to pm me privately. I'll arrange a meeting with the owner.

The decision to close it down was based on multiple rw factors. The technology was good. The content was good. It had a good run.

"Right wing"?

"real world"

Zen doesn't consider the bboard world to be "real" – he sees it as nothing but distraction. Having a job, paying bills, spending time with friends and family who are physically present, or at least on the phone, cleaning out your sock drawer – are "real world" activities, in his book.
