he was 63. he toured with billy connolly for a wee bit. he suffered from alcoholism and died from liver failure. how ironic that i got drunk more than once to 'Baker Street'…

Geez, this is really sad. He was one of my favorites starting when I was in junior high. Alcoholism really takes a toll on both the body and the soul. His great music will endure. Rest in peace.
