Andy Griffith who played Sheriff Andy Taylor on the Andy Griffith Show from 1960 to 1968 and then in 1986 was cast as lawyer Ben Matlock died today at the age of 86.

Did I read correctly but he'd had a heart attack at least 24 hours before his actual death? I thought I heard somewhere that he recently married a younger woman…hmmm. Hope nothing untowards happened. I'd been aware of his health issues and advanced age (he also had a reputation for being a bit of a drinker), soooo hope nothing happened that would tarnish his legacy.
