Where We’ve Been . . . Where We’re Going
by Chad Wilson, Publisher
Paranormal Underground Magazine
In December 2007, Cheryl and I determined that we were going to publish a magazine dealing with paranormal subject matter. The result was Paranormal Underground, which had its first issue in June 2008.
We’ve covered a lot of subjects since then, from the UFO flap in Stephenville, Texas, to multiple Ghost Hunter Case Files to a spotlight on Ghost Adventures’ Zak Bagans. We have come a long way in the year and a half we have been in business, including an upgraded Website and a recent publish on demand print option for Paranormal Underground.
We still offer our publication for free online, but now you can also order a print copy to be mailed directly to you. In the future, we will work diligently toward a subscription offering. Until then, the publish-on-demand aspect of our magazine will service those who wish to have a hard copy. I have seen a few of the issues published by our publish-on-demand vendor, and they look great!
What’s next for Paranormal Underground? We are always trying to come up with fresh avenues to bring our audience information and products dealing with the paranormal. One of our new endeavors is Ghost Knight Media, LLC, brought to you by myself, Cheryl Knight, and Karen Frazier.
Our plans include offering original paranormal books, documentaries, and Webisodes. We also have another exciting project in the works, but that will have to wait for another time.
Back in 2007 when we had the idea for Paranormal Underground, we never imagined that it would grow to be what it is today. And it wouldn’t have grown without many talented and dedicated individuals, including Cheryl, Karen, J.D. Harrison, and everyone else involved in this project to bring this vision to life . . . the volunteer writers, editors, art editors, Web designers, and, of course, our readers.
I’d like to take this moment to thank a special person, Cheryl Knight, without whom none of this would be possible. Without the countless brainstorming sessions, many all-nighters, and, most importantly, her love and friendship, none of this would be possible. So, thank you Cheryl for your determination and passion for Paranormal Underground.
Paranormal Underground has always been more than just about bringing the latest in paranormal news to our readers. It is about asking questions, research, and discovery. Personally, if the magazine can help just one individual overcome fear of the unknown, then I feel we have done our job. It will have made the journey all worthwhile.
