We have some exciting news! Paranormal Underground has had such a huge request by readers for a paper version of the magazine that we will now offer Publish On Demand for those wishing to purchase a paper copy of each issue, starting right now with the August issue. (Past issues will be made available over the next month or so, and future issues will be added each month by the end of the first week of the issue month date.)
While we had a lot of people requesting a paper copy, to actually do a subscription-based mailing would require more than 1,000 subscribers, a number that we’d need to verify that we can hit before we go that route. This is the reason we have, in the meantime, chosen to do the Publish On Demand option.
This option breaks down like this:
Readers don’t have to buy every issue. Readers can just purchase one particular issue if they wish or pick and choose the issues they are interested in receiving in the mail. The print quality is excellent. Nice, glossy paper and high-quality printing by MagCloud (the Publish On Demand company that we’re utilizing).
The cost of each issue will vary depending on page count and MagCloud fees.
The online version will still be available for free! So, for those readers who want a paper copy, they can buy it. If readers don’t want a paper copy, the magazine is still online for free! This way, we’re meeting the demand of those who have been requesting a paper copy AND those who only want to read online. Best of both worlds right?
The August 2009 issue is now available for print (available here: http://magcloud.com/browse/Issue/28659), and we will announce in the blog once past issues are available for order. We’ll also be putting together special compilations, such as a Case Files of the Unknown series, a Fiction anthology, Special Reports, etc., in the near future!
