I have been on other sites but recently have decided to spread out and see what opinions and evidence has continued to pop up on this site. I was doing investigations years before anyone was on television or the new technologies became available. I enjoy watching the different techniques used by the different teams but am in a way a little dismayed at the number of very amateurish people who head out looking for a thrill at the expense of the spirits they harass unintentionally.  I also get a sad feeling at the number of people who feel that the spirits whose voices they pick up on EVPs are evil or demonic. After 40 plus years I have met some pretty angry and mean spirited spirits, I have seen some non-human spirits or ethereals  but I have not seen or felt I was in the presence of  what others would think as demonic. I apologize to people who feel they have been under some sort of attack and I admit that I am not a Christian so my perceptions are different. I admit that I find it funny when people deliberately go exploring looking for an experience then is are so frightened that they saw or heard something the won’t go back.

I do encourage those with an interest to do the research then meet up with someone who knows what they are doing before getting into a spot they don’t want to be. I was very lucky when I was young because for the first 20 years to be with a friend who always had my back. He wasn’t able to see or hear what I did but he kept me from getting over involved or lost. When he moved away I stopped investigating for about 10 years. During that time time the new small recorders became better at picking up EVPs and the digital camera made it much cheaper and easier to get the pictures. The last ones I got were in the Florida Keys this March at Crane Point in Marathon and in Key West.

I live in a thankfully unhaunted 150 year old house. As a child we lived in a place that seemed to have spirits wander in and out as they found they could be seen and heard. One apartment I lived in for 6 years with my 2 kids seemed to have a pesty spirit who especially liked to take my earrings for a few days at a time then return them among other more disagreeable things. When I married my husband and moved out my landlord was sorry to see me go as I had stayed longer then anyone had in the history of his family owning the home.

I also am sure that some spirits come and go from the other side and that we haunt them as they haunt us. I am glad that I have had the experiences that I have had. My husband does not think I am a fraud but he is not quite a believer either so life gets complicated sometimes.
