It’s Time to Simplify
by Karen Frazier, Managing Editor
Paranormal Underground Magazine
You may have noticed that I haven’t been around these parts much lately. Life always meanders in surprising directions, and mine certainly has.
A few years ago, I was delighted when my good friends Cheryl Knight and Chad Wilson asked me to join them at Paranormal Underground Magazine as the Managing Editor. Being a part of both Paranormal Underground and Ghost Knight Media has been a wonderful blessing, and I’ve enjoyed every single moment of it. Because of PUG, I have been able to do things I might not have done otherwise – like have a past life regression hypnotherapy session or interview the guys from Ghost Adventures. It’s been a lot of fun, and I am very proud of what we have accomplished and the product that we’ve put out month after month for our readers to enjoy. I’m proud of this site, and I adore the readers and members I’ve gotten to know. I’m profoundly grateful to my good friends and colleagues Cheryl and Chad. We have built something together, and I am grateful for the opportunity to have done so.
If this sounds like a good-bye blog, it kind of is. You see, my life has led me in new directions recently, and I’m feeling like it is time to simplify and return to those things about which I am most passionate. My freelance writing business has taken off, and I’ve recently started participating in two volunteer positions which are quite time consuming but very important to me. I no longer have the time to give the necessary attention to Paranormal Underground or Ghost Knight Media. Resultantly, I am stepping down as Managing Editor, and as a partner in both businesses; however, I leave you in the capable hands that have guided the magazine all along. Cheryl and Chad really are Paranormal Underground Magazine. I am just blessed to have been a part of it.
I will still be around, hosting the radio show and writing an article here and there. I’ll stop by the forums, too. You can’t get rid of me that easily. I am still passionate about Paranormal Underground – both the magazine and the radio show, and I am still committed to our listeners and readers. On the other hand, you won’t see my name on the masthead any longer, and I probably won’t be blogging in the editors’ blog anymore. Maybe I’ll pop in time to time to blog on the “member blog.”
In the meantime, thanks to all of the readers and members. You have been a wonderful source of support, and I appreciate all of you. I’m looking forward to continuing the dialog both in the PUG forms and through the radio show and articles I write for the magazine. Thanks for everything. It’s been fun.
Sad, sad news from my selfish perspective!
I hope that despite relinquishing the official title of Managing Editor we still see many articles and forum posts from you as time and motivation allows, and that the radio show continues with you in it’s current excellent format for a long time to come.
I wish you every success and happiness in the new direction you’ve chosen. Best wishes!
I for one will say that I have enjoyed all of the interaction we’ve had due to your spot here in our happy little online home.
I’ve been having pangs of separation anxiety all day long for reasons all my own and you have just amped that ten-fold. Please provide xanax for your next blog.
Keep in touch with me and the Big Wolf. We still hope to see Wellington someday.
You will not easily get rid of me…I know where to find you…well…online anyway!
Teresa
As I wrote on facebook. Please Karen Please don’t go say it isn’t true. I have everyone fooled you are the true talent. Seriously though I’m glad you’re still going to do the show.
Good luck with all you have going on! I know you’ll be great!
I will certainly miss you and your blogs, it helped me get through life, some days. Your blogs made me smile, laugh, and cry. I enjoyed interacting with you on the forum. Good luck with all you do in life. Enjoy, and save a little time to smell the flowers.
Best Wishes,
Mary
Thank you, guys. I will be blogging on my personal blog, http://confessionsofabusysoccermom.blogspot.com/ when I have the time, and I will certainly try to be around here as much as possible. It is all for a good reason. I have started working as a guardian ad litem, and the demands on my time are significant. Still, I can’t think of a better reason to abdicate my responsibilities at PUG than giving abused and neglected children a voice in court.
