Reflecting back on the year that was at Paranormal Underground from a personal perspective, I have to tell you – it’s been an interesting one for me.

It all started with a simple little article on quantum physics. Now THAT was an experience – trying to comprehend it all and then communicate it to others. I still get dizzy spells.

My next task? Nothing short of undergoing past life regression hypnotherapy, followed by full-on immersion in the whole reincarnation topic. In my favorite interview to date (and I’ve spoken with some VERY cool people in the past year), I talked with Jeffrey Keene – a gentle philosopher with amazing wisdom – about his experiences in remembering past lives.

That was the month that I discovered that the very best way to learn about the paranormal was by attempting to experience it. And so I have. And what fun it has been. From simple soccer mom to daring girl reporter who got to look into a subject about which I have been passionate for more than 20 years.

Since then, I’ve been on more than one paranormal investigation. I relentlessly drag my family to haunted hot spots. Thank goodness they are indulgent. I play with all kinds of cutting edge, cool equipment. I’ve talked to experts in wide-ranging topics like UFOs and near-death experiences (I didn’t try to experience that one – I saw the movie Flatliners. I know what happens!) I’ve looked into the psychology of the paranormal, and studied up on all sorts of things like spirit photography and instrumental transcommunication.

And the people I’ve been able to talk to. It’s quite a list. Stanton Friedman, Jeff Keene, Shannon Sylvia, Zak Bagans, Mark Macy – just to name a few. How lucky am I?

This is my passion. I’m ready for more adventures (although not near-death – at least not on purpose). Who knows what the coming year will bring? (Bigfoot, here I come!) Certainly I don’t. But I do know this. My journey from soccer mom to paranormal adventurer has been a wild ride, and I can’t wait to see what’s around the next corner.

Off we go – year number two. I’m ready to rumble.
