Tony once told me that I have a tendency and a talent for pissing spirits off; why this is, I have no idea, but this entity really hated me.
Shortly after Lucia’s outburst, she regained her composure and apologized profusely for calling me a moron. I told her that I understood; it was not her talking but the inhuman entity speaking through her.
Lucia also advised us that the room was now dead; whatever had been in the room had departed to another area of the house, and our time was up as another team descended the basement stairs.
After an interesting time in the basement, my team and I found our way to our next post, the client’s room.
After determining that Jonathan had invited this entity into his home through a black magic ritual, I felt it wise to be on the lookout for any occult trappings in Jonathan’s room. The only thing we could find, amid the posters of scantily clad woman and a poster for a really shitty movie, was the plaster casting of an arm with the hands making the devil’s horns — you know, that bullshit that everyone waves at a metal concert.
Otherwise it was a fairly normal room for a teenage boy. No devils or demons here.
Or so we thought.
After setting up the K-II Meter and a digital recorder on the bed for another isolated EVP session, I began to pan around the small room with the thermal imager and quickly received the shock of my life.
As I panned, I watched as a white, grotesque face flew away from the wall toward me. Of course I couldn’t see this with the naked eye, but I did get it on the thermal. The only problem is our imager doesn’t take video, only pictures. And this image came at me so fast I didn’t have time to snap a picture.
Sorry dear reader. I have no proof of this event — just a personal experience that will forever be etched into my memory. The entity was here.
The Cleansing of Jonathan:
In MCPRG, being the tech guy and being the handler of the thermal imager comes with the price. If the boss calls, I have to run.
Before we could start to really get into investigating the activity that occurred in Jonathan’s room, Tony called me over the radio and requested that I come to the back bedroom. Lucia was performing a cleansing ritual on Jonathan, and she wanted the thermal imager present to see if we could get anything on it. Jonathan claimed that the entity was there, and he was pissed.
I have to be completely honest with you, dear reader. Sometimes I have a little trouble wrapping my mind around the more mystical aspects of paranormal research. You really can’t see a person cast a spell or, in Jonathan’s case, drive an oppressing entity from his body.
When I arrived in the bedroom, I found Jonathan sitting in a chair and Lucia standing in front of him holding his hands.
“Why did you bring this being into your life?” Lucia asked.
“For revenge,” Jonathan replied, staying perfectly still.
“Revenge against who?”
