I’m about to veer totally off topic from the paranormal (like I’ve never done that before). Good thing we have this here “totally off topic blog.” I guess I knew my propensity to wander when I created it.

I write all day. Well – sort of. Between dogs wanting in and out, telephone calls, running kids around, doing housework, emails and random internet browsing, I write a good portion of the day.

But sometimes, my brain just shuts off and I need to get away from the whole writing thing for a few minutes. That’s when I head out into cyberworld for a little pick me up. Whenever my brain freezes, I’ll pop on to one of my favorite sites just to get everything unstuck.

Most of you have probably seen most of these sites before, but I thought I’d share them with you. That way when your head hurts profoundly after trying to muddle your way through one of my blogs on a day where I decide to head deep into quantum physics or some other mind-boggling topic, you can have a little palate cleanser for yourself and forget, just for a moment, about all of my craziness.

Emails from Crazy People – Brought to you by the folks at the Cheezburger Network, Emails from Crazy People will help you to remember that your mother-in-law really isn’t as bad as she seems.

Awkward Family Photos – Think your family was awkward? They’ve got nothing on these people, trust me.

Zug – Okay – there’s a lot on here that isn’t funny, but then there’s a lot that is, too. Some of John Hargrave’s pranks (like taking viagra and going to church just to see what would happen) are pretty darn amusing.

People of Walmart – I can only take so much of this at a time, but there is a certain train wreck factor. You can’t look away.

Fail Blog – Another perennial favorite from the Cheezburger Network.

F My Life – Think the things that happen to you make you a loser? Read some of these people’s little moments in time. Some are funny – some are just sad. You decide.

Gary, Landlord of the Flies – If you’ve ever come across that one person whose behavior leaves you scratching your head, then you just might enjoy the saga of Gary as told by his bewildered and often funny (former) tenant.
